We understand that there are fraudulent emails also known as Phishing emails going out to customer’s of various banks globally luring them to update sensitive information like User Id, Password, Credit / Debit Card Number by clicking on the link received via email which redirects user to fraudulent website. This fraudulent website looks exactly similar to authentic website. Bank of India New York Branch allows it’s customers to only view their retail accounts through the domain website boiusa.com and no Live transactions are initiated at present. The users of Internet Banking are hereby cautioned not to take cognizance of the Phishing mails received through emails and exercise caution while operating the accounts. Bank of India never asks you to update your sensitive information by email. All the customers are requested to note that bank is not responsible for losses due to any disclosures made by the customers on illegitimate websites. Our patrons are advised in their own interest to update latest Antivirus, Anti-Spyware, Operating System patches in their PC and most importantly keep changing the passwords at regular intervals with strong security. |
